From Thursday 23 to 27 September the Sirha fair, the International Restoration, Hospitality and Food Fair, was held in Lyon (France) and Frucosol was present as an exhibitor with its hospitality equipment.
Frucosol was located in Hall 7, Café & Bars area, stand 7B66.
The 2021 edition was presented with a completely renewed concept. Sirha Lyon 2021, much more than just a professional show, was the showcase for all the Food service trends of today and the future, after the pandemic period, which left the trade fair sector orphaned.
More than 100,000 m² of exhibition space dedicated to 12 sectors of activity hosted several thousand French and foreign professionals from various areas: producers and distributors from different branches of the food industry (food products, bakery, pastry, etc.) and non-food ( kitchen equipment, dining room furniture, technology and transportation).
Organized by AFEHC, under the umbrella of the Horeca Equipment from Spain brand, the Spanish pavilion was made up of a group of eleven manufacturers who presented their novelties on the French market; first destination for Spanish exports in the equipment sector for the Horeca channel.
In order to promote these Spanish companies at the fair, AFEHC produced an information brochure that was sent to distributors of hospitality equipment in France.
Sirha Lyon, this year focused on restoring the future, emphasizing digital innovations and connected equipment; while emphasizing the importance of healthier eating and superfoods.
The health crisis, beyond its economic consequences in the hotel and restaurant sectors, has accelerated its transformation with the appearance or consolidation of underlying trends: growth of short circuits and the consumption of organic products, development of more eco-responsible, increase in home sales and take away, etc. The Sirha Lyon was the first big event that allowed exhibitors and visitors to come together to create business opportunities. It was also a means of helping professionals rethink their offerings and adapt to consumer expectations.
The evolution of the fair was correct in the opinion of the export director, Víctor Martínez. It was possible to regain contact with distributors and the general public who came to the stand to see our equipment and news. In addition to obtaining advice on any of our product ranges and on-site demonstrations.
Lyon, is the city that hosts this meeting and becomes a coming and going of professionals in the sector: and Sirha has established itself as a unique fair for the gastronomic and hospitality sector, and has become one of the most important events for professionals of all the world.

Frucosol participated in this 20th edition with the grouped participation of the Association of Spanish Manufacturers Exporters of Equipment for Hospitality and Communities (AFEHC), under the brand name Horeca Equipment from Spain.
This show is of great relevance for our sector since the French market is the number one destination for Spanish exports from the hospitality equipment sector.
